The English Department is the pride and prestige of Sri Sarada Niketan College. When Sri Sarada Niketan College established in the year 2009, a full capacity of more than 100 students were admitted in the English Department. Initiatives were taken to mould them to become very good at English Language and Literature. The adventurous spirit of English department inspiring every individual student to attain top level English Communication skills. The faculty members of the department consisting of Scholarly eminence, well marked experience, talented hands to prove a vital role in bringing innovative tactics in teaching methodology. Their superb contribution is an invaluable asset to the growth of English Literature and for the benefits of the students. On behalf of the English Department every year we conduct English literary association activities. The ELA was named after Sir Stephen Spender, one of the important writers of the 20th century.

Propose to establish a literary home journal – “English Waves”.
We collect data regarding up to date modern trends in ELT.
