History of the Department
The OPTIMIST sees the glass ‘Half Full’. The ‘PESSIMIST’ sees the glass ‘Half Empty’. Only the ‘CHEMIST’ sees the glass completely FULL; half in the ‘liquid state’ and half in the ‘vapour state’. This urge for science made Sri Sarada Niketan to establish the Chemistry Department. The Chemistry Department was set up in the year 2010 with an initial strength of 15 students. The Department offers Undergraduate Course in Chemistry. The Department has well equipped laboratory, which accommodates and kindle our students to enlighten their practical skills. The laboratory is sufficiently well equipped. Students can pursue even a Master Degree from our well established Chemistry Laboratory. We assure growth and progress in the students strength in the near future.

Mission
The mission of the Department of Chemistry is to advance the chemical science through educating the students by providing them with quality classroom, equipped laboratory, research and service opportunities. With a high standard for excellence in all three areas the department will produce students with eminence those are knowledgeable in chemistry.
Vision
To educating and graduating students prepared to compete in and contribute to the ever-changing technology and teach them the values of safe and ethical behaviour is the vision of the Department.
