IDEAL NATION WITH IDEAL WOMEN
Located at the picturesque surrounding settings with YERCAUD hills at the background, Kanavaipudur village is part of a fertile valley. If developed it can make an ideal tourist resort. In July 2009 a College for Women was inaugurated in this village by Sarada Niketan Samithi, exclusively for women. A large area of 120 acres was donated by a great philanthropist for this purpose.
At Kanavaipudur
This village was located about 50 Km from Salem. In July 2009 the College building was started and simultaneously girl students were admitted. Now due to financial strains created by the recessionary conditions of recent times, the building stands half – finished. At the very first year 370 girl students were pursued degree courses in Arts & Science. The Aim is to expand the capacity to 1500 students in the near future and 3000 ultimately.
Nature of Education
Following the advice of SWAMI VIVEKANANDA to provide for Character building along with scientific education, the college aims at giving value education while developing respect for traditional culture and moral values like truth, trust - worthiness and chastity.
