Activities & Achievements
In 25th March 2011, the Chemistry Association Activities were inaugurated by a grand function. In that function, nearly 50 saplings were planted in the College Campus to maintain and preserve the Green Environment. (Resource Persons: Dr.A.K. In 28th Feb 2012, behalf of Sri Sarada Niketan the faculty and students of the Department had actively participated in “Chem Expo-26th National Science Day 2012” organized by VIT University, Vellore.
In 9th April 2013, the Department was organized a “Motivational Course” to the chemistry students. The Students were eagerly participated and interacted in the sessions handled by Chemistry Professionals. (Resource Persons: Dr.S. Shanmugam, Asst. In 22nd Jan 2014, the Department devised a research Forum named “Research Council of Chemistry (RCC)” – a research unit which creates research intention and develop research skills among the students.
In 26th Mar 2014, the National Science Day was celebrated under the banner of “Celebration of Science Day – 2014” by both the Research Council of Chemistry (RCC) and Physics Chamber of Analyzation (PCA) of this College. (Resource Person: ‘TammizhIyalan’ Dhanasekaran, Executive Engineer, TNEB, Chennai).
In 26th Mar 2014, a molecular event ‘Science Exhibition’ was organized by our Department Students as a part of the Celebration of Science Day – 2014.
In 23rd Sep 2014, a quantum kind of event “Seminar on Molecular Spectroscopy – SMS 2014” was conducted by the RCC. (Resource Persons: Dr.R. Rajavel, Associate Professor, Dept. of Chemistry, Periyar University. Tmt.V. Manjula, PG Teacher in Chemistry. &Mr.P. Ramesh, PG Teacher in Chemistry).
In 23rd Sep 2014, a mass “Poster Presentation” by our Chemistry students was set up in the Sri Sarada Niketan Campus entitled the theme “Green Chemistry”.
