Activities & Achievements
In 25th September 2009, the department organized a “Market Segmentation” to the commerce students. The students were participated and interacted in the sessions handled by Dr. V. Senthilvelmurugan, Asst.Prof, department of management studies, PRIMS, Periyar University, Salem.
In 15th February 2010, the department was organized a “The evolution of online communication and commerce” to the commerce students. The students were participated in the sessions handled by Resource Person Dr. A. Elangovan, Professor & Head, department of commerce, Periyar University, Salem.
In 10th August 2011, the department was organized a Seminar “The effect of brand image on consumer taste preference” to the commerce and management students. The students were participated and interacted in the sessions handled by Resource Person Dr. K. Krishnakumar, Assistant Professor, department of commerce, Periyar University, Salem.
In 20th July 2012, the department was organized a “The Impact of Value Added Tax (VAT)” to the commerce and management students. The students were participated in the sessions handled by Resource Person Dr. A. Jayakumar, Assistant Professor, department of commerce, Periyar University, Salem.
In 25th February 2014, the department organized an one day workshop “Personality Development” to the commerce students and management. The students were participated and interacted in the sessions handled by Resource Persons Dr. V. Senthilvelmurugan, Asst.Prof, department of Management studies, Deputy Controller (In charge) Periyar University, Salem.
In 27th September 2014, the department organized an one day workshop “Women Empowerment through Self Employment (WETSE-2014)” to the commerce students and management. The students were participated and interacted in the sessions handled by Resource Persons: Session-I “Women Empowerment”-Mr.C.Vinod, Asst.Prof, department of Mechanical Engineering, KSR College of Technology, Tiruchenogde. Session-II “Self Employment”- Mr. S. Govindaraj Chairman, Balaji Technology, Vandavasi, and Mr. G. Gokul Editor, Business World.
In 09th March 2015, the department was organized a one day Seminar “Challenges and Opportunities for Online Marketing” to the commerce students and management. The students were participated and interacted in the sessions handled by Resource Persons: Dr. K. Prabhakar Rajkumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, Periyar University, and Dr. A. Elangovan, Professor & Head, department of commerce, Periyar University, Salem.
In 12th August 2015, the department Association activities were inaugurated by a grand function. The association named as ”ASCCOM (Annai Sarada Chamber of Commerce & Management)” by the special Guest Dr. R. Umapathi, Former syndicate member, Periyar University, And founder Principal SSNC.
In 22nd December 2015, the department organized an one day workshop “Quality of Work Life as Strategy to Enhance Organizational Performance” to the commerce students and management. The students were participated and interacted in the sessions handled by Resource Person Mrs. R. Florence Bharathi, Assistant Professor, Dept of MBA, Muthayammal Engineering College, Rasipuram.
